The sent of sea salt and flowers follow her, brine and honey-suckle. She moves ungainly on land, her short limbs meant only for shorter distances where in a world of water her powerful tail is what moves her. Instead she lays coiled like an enormous and sluggish snake, deprived of her element in a world never meant to receive her. She spends her days in dreams when toil isn't forced upon her. Even then, while not aggressive, it can be difficult to persuade a one ton creature to do anything they don't want to, particularly when a loss of will means that means just about everything.
A gem hidden in stubborn rock, perhaps, but it will take a good eye and a steady hand to get this pearl to shine again. Sardonic Nicknamed Sardonic by the ones who picked her up, her real name is also somewhat of a mystery, maybe even to her. She seems to have acclimated to her new name, however, as she answers to it, and introduces herself as it when pressed. ||Age Unknown - Grown Adult|| Sex is Female || Sardonic is an ocean going dragon, or lind-wyrm, depending on who it is you ask. The tiny runes carved onto the bottom side of her jawline, however seem to suggest a deeper mystery. They are Celtic in origin, and translate into "change", "serpent", and "binding". |
It's not entirely clear where she comes from, other than, at some point, the sea. Her papers say little in regard to it, and she herself, when she can be prompted to talk about it, says she doesn't remember and doesn't care to.
For those interested in pursuing the mystery, however, a small set of runestones taken off her during processing may offer some clues. Size is about 30 feet at length, and about 5'9" tall at the head, not including horns. Weight fluctuates, but healthy weight hovers around 8,000lbs. |
